When it debuts in May, Angry Boys will mark the return of Chris Lilley’s amazing skills at social observation and characterisation.
But there is a subtle format change this time round.
Unlike We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High, not all the characters appear in all the episodes.
The first episode will focus on the twins from Dunt, Daniel and Nathan.
Ruth Sims, who works at the Juvenile Justice Centre for Boys, also features prominently.
In fact even by the end of episode two not all characters will have been revealed.
Together with the enormous secrecy that has enveloped the series so far, it’s indicative of an artist who has a master plan for his work. And there’s nothing so wrong with that…
